So, whether you're looking for the faint arms of a spiral galaxy or a minor division in Saturn's rings - Brandons perform best.

Some may question why we haven't multicoated our Brandons. The truth is we made several sets using 7-layer multicoatings and found no improvement whatsoever. One reason not to multicoat is to eliminate or greatly reduce a phenomenon known as "narrow angle light scatter". Mulitcoatings have more narrow angle scatter than standard eyepiece coatings. You can see this effect on bright objects like Venus, Mars or Jupiter, which greatly interfere with low contrast detail.

Using Brandon eyepieces, you will also notice a significant difference in the background darkness immediately surrounding a bright object, especially important for planetary or double-star observing. In addition, lunar detail such as the bands of Aristarchus are much better defined.

Since 1991, our Brandon lenses have been made on the latest optical generating equipment and highly polished to avoid cosmetic defects. All Brandon eyepieces are assembled at our Candor, NY facility where they must pass several optical testing procedures, thus assuring that you will receive consistent high quality.
